3-Minute Theory: Become Before You Achieve

MIND – Think
“Results come from habits. Habits come from behaviours. Behaviours come from beliefs. Beliefs come from identity.”
So if you’re stuck, don’t ask what should I do?
Ask: Who am I becoming?
Real transformation doesn’t start at the gym or the business plan.
It starts with how you see yourself.
BODY – Do
The Identity Audit
(grab a pen)
Who do I want to become in 1 year?
What does that version of me believe daily?
What are three small habits I can do this week to act like them?
Example:
Let’s say your future identity is: “I am a disciplined creator.”
Belief: “I create even when I don’t feel like it.”
3 habits:
Write for 10 minutes each morning
Share one idea per week
Put your phone in another room before deep work
Then pick one and do it today.
Just one.
Because real change isn’t about perfection.
It’s about alignment with the person you’re becoming.
HEART – Feel
Ask yourself:
"What part of me is afraid to let go of the old version of me?"
Because stepping into growth always comes with fear.
Fear is not the enemy, it’s proof you’re moving.
A Piece of Us
Rupert: “Day by day, same routine — but a different spring in my step.
Lately, I noticed some old habits quietly creeping back in: late nights, rushed mornings, that familiar sense of being slightly out of sync. But something feels different this time. I’ve given myself space — space for patience, softness, and less pressure to “have it all together.” I'm learning to take myself a little less seriously and to trust the flow of life, surrendering more to the universe and its timing.
Of course, there have been moments of frustration. But I’m learning to let go more easily. I can’t control other people’s thoughts, emotions, or actions — only my own. Especially with family, I've realized that I don’t always need to be involved in every decision. Sometimes the most meaningful role is simply to support — quietly, humbly, and without ego.
This week taught me the value of leading with empathy, of really listening — not reacting or taking things to heart, but observing, registering, and reflecting. It’s a shift in how I show up.
I’ve also made the decision to return to full-time therapy — a commitment I want to honour for the next year. I feel there’s a new layer of work calling me. A desire to rediscover, to unpack the past, and to understand who I am now, and what still lives within me today. "
Konrad: “Since last week, I've been battling with the hardest habit I've ever had: waking up in the morning. I've always had this idea in my mind that if I could crack the code of waking up early, I could do anything. Honestly, over the last six years, I've never really cracked it. I've had a few successful days and then fallen back into my old habits.
I think what changed was watching the Robert Rodriguez episode on the Joe Rogan Experience. He mentioned an interesting concept – that the way you talk to yourself has a huge impact. Every time I failed, I would say to myself, "I'm so bad at waking up in the morning," which I now believe had a negative subconscious effect on me. Since then, I've tweaked it and started saying, "I'm the kind of person who wakes up in the morning," and somehow, it's become easier. It's only been a week, but I already feel much better.
Also, something interesting has happened – I’ve really, and I mean really, started enjoying jiu-jitsu. I feel like a white belt again, eager to learn every single technique and wanting to attend every class. I feel like I can finally build a proper routine – something that had been missing for a while.”
