3-Minute Theory: “Men Need Men”
This one hit home.
A raw and honest look at what many men carry quietly, shame, pressure, isolation, and the unspoken grief of not feeling safe to be themselves.
This episode gave us more than insight. It gave us a roadmap.
Not just on how to heal. But how to connect.
Here’s what we pulled from it, in 3 minutes, 3 angles, 1 insight.
MIND – Think
"We're not taught to express. We're taught to perform."
This episode reminded us that boys grow up learning to cope, not to feel.
From body image to porn, from rage to repressed sadness, this conversation revealed what happens when men are disconnected from themselves and each other.
What we heard, again and again:
Most men have no blueprint for emotional regulation
We’re told to “man up” instead of “open up”
Shame builds in silence, and dissolves in connection
Masculinity isn’t strength without emotion.
It’s strength with emotional safety.
BODY – Do
Try This: The “Stress Bucket Audit”
This came from a brilliant bit of the episode, how overloaded most men are without realising it.
Here’s how to do it:
Take 10 minutes with a pen and paper
List 5 life areas:
Health
Work
Relationships
Finances
Time for Self
Score each from 1–10:
1 = I feel solid
10 = I’m drowning
Circle the highest number. That’s your leaky bucket.
Small step:
Text a friend, book a walk, journal your thoughts, anything to reduce the overflow.
Self-care isn’t soft.
It’s survival.
HEART – Feel
Ask Yourself:
"Sometimes men don’t need advice. They just need to be held."
This hit us deep: how few men know what it feels like to be held by another man, emotionally or physically, without competition or shame.
Touch. Expression. Vulnerability.
It’s not a weakness.
It’s human.
Jiu-jitsu, retreats, deep brotherhood, whatever it is for you, don’t go it alone.
Connection isn’t a luxury.
It’s medicine.
A Piece of Us
Rupert: “Coming back to the UK, I’m grateful to live here, but there are moments when I wish I were somewhere else. I feel a strong pull toward a new environment, and I’ve been saying for a while that London might no longer be where I’m meant to be.
It feels like I’m beginning a new chapter, turning a new leaf and stepping into a different phase of my life. I want to take everything I’ve learned so far and pour it into something fresh, something that helps me find my way again. I don’t yet know what’s next, or where I want to go, but the projects I’m working on are exciting, and I feel hungry again, ready to learn, grow, and add another string to my bow.”
Konrad: “In the last few days, the podcast has popped off again, and we now have two incredible guests to talk about spirituality, spiritual welfare, and Christianity. I would never have imagined that I’d be speaking with these people, learning from them, and having high-level discussions about topics I used to laugh at and mock when I was younger.
I honestly can’t wait to release these two episodes, they’re fantastic, and I’m incredibly proud of everything we’re building. It’s been almost two years, and I look forward to seeing what another two years will bring us!.”
