3-Minute Theory: Morning Routines That Actually Work
Everyone’s talking about 5AM alarms, red light masks, and 10-step skincare routines.
But what about the real mornings?
The rushed ones.
The snoozed-too-many-times ones.
The ones where you just need a win, even if it’s small.
This episode wasn’t about getting it perfect.
It was about making your morning yours.
MIND – Think
"Your day doesn’t begin with action. It begins with attention."
We broke down how most morning routines fail because they’re built on pressure, not presence.
And we asked:
Is your morning serving your goals, or just your guilt?
Are you copying influencers, or building something that actually works for your life?
Are you setting the tone, or just reacting to chaos?
A real routine isn’t about discipline for its own sake.
It’s about creating a moment of peace before the noise hits.
BODY – Do
Try This: “The 3-Minute Win” (for Chaotic Mornings)
If your routine keeps falling apart, shrink it down.
Just do these:
Drink a full glass of water (add salt + lemon if possible)
Step outside and get sunlight in your eyes (cloudy still counts)
Breathe: Inhale for 4, hold for 2, exhale for 6, hold for 2 (repeat 3x)
Example:
You’re not meditating for 30 minutes. You’re just showing your body: I’m awake. I’m here. I’ve got this.
Forget “perfect mornings.”
Stack small wins. Let them build momentum.
HEART – Feel
Ask yourself:
“Is my morning routine a way to connect… or just another thing to control?”
This conversation reminded us:
Morning routines aren’t just about energy, they’re about self-respect
Your bed, your breath, your journal, they’re all quiet acts of reclaiming your time
And the best routines aren’t long, they’re intentional
Even brushing your teeth with music on can be a ritual if you’re doing it with presence.
A Piece of Us
Rupert: “Overwhelmed. There’s a lot on my plate and part of me feels like the year is already slipping away. The challenge for me is keeping my mind steady, looking after it, and not letting myself spiral into overwhelm, which I have a habit of doing from time to time.
One thing I need to keep focusing on is communication, especially around boundaries. Not just with the people close to me, but with the people I work with as well.
I’m trying to look beyond the situation I currently find myself in. I believe in God, and I believe that presence is within me. Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20–21). The more I look up, the more I pray, the more answers I find within myself. There’s a quiet peace in recognising that we are souls having a human experience.
“The All is Mind; the Universe is Mental”, meaning the true reality behind the material world is consciousness, and everything is a mental creation. We are consciousness, and we have the ability to create our reality. We’re in charge, we always have been.”
Konrad: “Last week was really strong. I felt on top of everything – all my tasks were done, I woke up on time, and everything felt spot on. I know it won’t be like this every single week, which is why I allowed myself to rest at the weekend. That was quite new for me. Before, I would have felt bad for giving myself permission to rest and relax.
This year, I’ve realised that I’m running a marathon, not a sprint (maybe ultramarathons helped me understand this), and I want to treat this year the same way. I will make mistakes, I will fall short, and that’s fine. It’s all about getting back up the next day and executing again.
I will also allow myself more patience with the people around me. Everyone is trying their best, and the world doesn’t revolve around me. Everyone has their own lives, and it’s important to acknowledge that. Breathe in, breathe out, and keep going.”
