3-Minute Theory: What If This Isn’t Real?
What happens when you die?
What happens if this life isn’t real to begin with?
This episode cracked open some of the deepest questions humans have ever asked:
Is death something to fear - or celebrate?
Are we in a simulation?
What do religion, psychedelics, and science say about the afterlife?
And if this all ends… what do we leave behind?
Here’s what we pulled from it - in 3 minutes, 3 angles, 1 insight.
MIND – Think
"You’re not afraid of death. You’re afraid of dying before you’ve truly lived."
From simulation theory to religion to near-death experiences, this episode asked what it means to be alive - not just biologically, but spiritually.
We unpacked:
Why many fear death only because they haven’t fulfilled their purpose
How ancient beliefs (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism) all suggest something continues
And why DMT may be the “spiritual bridge” between life and death
You don’t need to believe in reincarnation or heaven to reflect on this truth:
This life is limited.
So live like it matters.
BODY – Do
Mortality Mirror Practice (5 minutes)
Ask yourself tonight:
If I died next week, what would I regret not doing?
What legacy would I leave behind, and would it reflect who I truly am?
What’s one small thing I can do tomorrow to live with more intention?
Example:
“I’d regret not starting the project I’ve been afraid of.
I’d regret not telling the people I love how much they mean to me.
Tomorrow, I’ll send that message. I’ll take one step. I’ll choose presence.”
Death isn’t the end.
Regret is.
HEART – Feel
Ask yourself:
"Am I living in alignment with what I say I believe?"
Whether you believe in a simulation, a soul, a heaven, or just the present moment, your beliefs shape your actions.
This episode reminded us:
Spirituality is personal
Death is inevitable
But love, connection, curiosity, and presence… those are what make life beautiful
If you were to die today, would the people you love know how you feel?
A Piece of Us
Rupert: “A small measure of peace
Today, I found myself reflecting on what it really means to be human. I’ve come to believe that we are spirits having a human experience, not humans having a spiritual one. There’s a deep truth in that for me.
When faced with difficult choices, I’ve learned that the hardest path is almost always the right one. It’s rarely easy, but growth never comes from comfort. Lately, I’ve reached another one of those crossroads—a moment where I need to let go of certain things and move forward.
I’ve been here before, more times than I can count. Each time, I’ve learned to trust my instincts, to listen to that quiet voice within. It’s not always clear, but my gut has never led me astray. Today, I’m choosing to listen again—and to find a small measure of peace in the process.”
Konrad: “I had another trip recently, this time to Barcelona, to see another brother I met while travelling in Thailand three years ago. We’ve been close ever since. However, I wasn’t happy with how the trip went. I guess I’m getting older, but going out and drinking just for the sake of it doesn’t feel enjoyable anymore. A nice meal, a couple of beers, a cigar, and some deep conversations with my friends would’ve done much more good than what we had. It was still fun, but moving forward, that’s not how I want my trips to be. That’s all the reflections I have this week…”
